From my hearth to yours.....

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His mercy endures forever." ~ Psalm 107:1 HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! WISHING YOU A DAY FILLED WITH BLESSINGS! PRAYING THAT YOU ALL STAY SAFE IN YOUR TRAVELS! I'M THANKFUL FOR YOU ALL! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a recipe of my favorite from the HOOSIER state: HOOSIER SUGAR CREAM PIE~~ 2 c heavy cream 1/2 c all purpose flour 1/2 c brown sugar 1/2 c granulated sugar 3 T granulated sugar (for sprinkling) 1/2 c whole milk 1 t vanilla extract 1 (9 in) store- bought pie crust 1 T unsalted butter 1 t ground cinnamon Preheat oven to 350 F. Filling: Comine cream, flour, brown sugar, 1/2 c granulated sugar, milk and vanilla. Fit crust into a 9" pie pan. Dot bottom with butter. Pour filling into crust. Combine cinnamon and remaining 3T sugar. Sprinkle on top. Bake pie until set and center is firm to touch, about 1 hour. Cool on rack. Enjoy!!! ( complements of http://www.delish.com )
