Lessons in Gathering

The next day Mama had her baby out gathering food.  She's very proud and protective.

Meet the Newest Member of our Family....

I went out to gather eggs a few days ago, before opening the door to the chicken house, I heard a "cheep, cheep" that wasn't there earlier.  My mama hen only hatched one egg.  Hopefully it's a hen and not a rooster.
