New Magazine

As I was looking for Ki's latest "Flea Market Style" magazine, I ran into a new premier magazine, "Flea Market Gardens" for $9.99. Wow! I knew I just had to buy it. It's right up my alley. It was worth every penny. Loaded with great ideas to decorate your garden with those flea market finds. I was going to get my veggie starts planted, but after browsing the magazine, I want to make sure to get lots of petunias and other flowers started also!

Remember the Chair?

Do you remember the chair that I've been painting? This is the latest. I don't know what got into me? I think the winter blues drove me to this madness. I've been roaming the house just looking for anything I can set my paint brush upon. My husband is cringing as I'm eyeballing a dresser in our bedroom. Hmmm...looks like fun! I think I'll call this chair finished unless something possesses me to add more design. This project has really stirred a list of goals within me. I've been busily writing them on paper. It seems like I went through a long dry spell, not wanting to work in my little workshop. I was getting worried. Thought the creative spirit had left me. So I'm just rejoicing because it's back!!!

Tweaking the Chair

Finally! I am finished with the chair project. (I think!) I ended up changing the paint. I wasn't happy with how dark it turned out the first time, so I brightened it up. I'm still trying to decide if I should paint designs on it, but for now, I will leave it the way it is.

Harley

This is the latest picture of our little Harley. He will be six months old on Friday. To think he's only half grown. I think he will be a moose!

Funky Chair

The latest project I've been working on. I am going to repaint the purple. Not happy with it, I think it's too dark. I am so happy that my creative juices are flowing once again. I put it on the shelf for several years trying to tap into it several times, but just had some kind of blockage in that area. I love just cranking up the jams and letting loose. I think I will set this chair on my front porch with a flower pot this summer. What do you think?

42 Days Until Spring!!!!

I am so ready for spring to arrive!!! I've just had my fill with this white stuff! I dream of green grass, warm temperatures and sunshine.

Rainy Days and Sundays

Have you ever had one of those days that you're just moving from task to task, not really accomplishing much of anything? Well, so far today seems to be heading in that direction. We are getting some much needed rain so my outdoor plans were scratched for the day. I believe that our Creator created the seasons to minister to our lives. Not only is this the season of harvest, but also of pruning. He's been busy cutting things away from my life and I've felt "undone" lately. The spring/summer season is always a busy season around here. Between gardening and canning life just seems to go by rapidly. But now that canning season has come to an end, there is a void. It seems like everything around me has just come to a standstill. My cleaning business has slowed down which gives me more time at home. I need to just go with the flow and use the downtime to get rested and organized. Today is a good day to work in my craft room. I have been neglecting that area for so long. Hmmmm.....now for a project to work on......
